The 38-year-old was sent off during Al-Nassr's Saudi Super Cup semi-final clash against Al-Hilal after he appeared to throw his elbow at Ali Ali-Bulaihi. Ronaldo lost his temper and had to leave the pitch with four minutes left on the clock.

He was left fuming with the referee's decision as he angrily argued with the official before heading down the tunnel. The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star could reportedlu be handed a two-match suspension and forced to pay a fine of 20,000 riyals.

After an overall disappointing outing in the Saudi Super Cup, the Portuguese star, on Wednesday, took to Instagram to share an 'attitude' message on his story that read, "Love and attitude is the perfect gratitude."

The veteran attacker has enjoyed a rich vein of form in the current season having scored 36 goals across all competitions in 37 appearances for the club. However, Al-Nassr have failed to live up to expectations as they have crashed out of the AFC Champions League, Saudi Super Cup and are currently trailing league leaders Al-Hilal by 12 points.
